SUMMARY:Monotype/Unique Impressions Workshops 2025
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nMonotype/Unique Impressions Workshops 2025   \nMonotypes are paintings on smooth acrylic plates transferred to paper once only using a manual press. Each unique impression unites the spontaneity of painting with the radiant qualities of ink imbedded in the fibers of paper. Monotypes reveal and informs narrating a beginning\, middle and end of a personal narrative.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             \nExplore experimental and contemporary monotype techniques in a peaceful forest studio using spontaneous painting and drawing approaches and modified oil base inks. The possibilities are endless and provocative. Glistening layers of radiant ink create truly unique personal images with depth\, mystery\, memory and intrigue. Brayer painting\,  chine colle\, digital transfer and direct drawing monotype will be investigated\, as well as brayer painting quirks and oddities in nature and layered flat found objects. Daily critiques. Bring resource images or sketches to class.
